Bobcats Offer First
The Texas State Coaching Staff recently picked up the phone and made the call to Camyron Brown. They let the 6'0" 193lb defensive back from Ridge Point HS, know that he is wanted and would like for him to be a part of Bobcat Nation. The 'Cats are his first offer, but other programs are on the verge of extending or have been in strong contact. Baylor, Arkansas, Colorado, Northwestern, Kansas, K-State and UTSA are just some who have picked up there recruiting efforts recently.
Brown stands at 6'0" 193lbs and at a Nike Sparq Combine turned in a 4.6 40 time. The Bobcats have let him know that they are targeting him as a safety. Last year from his safety spot for the Panthers, he finished with 3 INT's, 86 tackles, 2 FF's, 1 FR, and 3 PBU's. His aggressive, explosive style lead to him making plays sideline to sideline. Brown is a ball-hawk who can play in coverage, or can use his fame around the line of scrimmage as an extra man in the box. Brown is attending a Baylor camp this weekend and an offer could ensue. At this point, it looks inevitable that other BCS schools will be offering, but so far the Bobcats have made a really good impression. "Texas State is definitely standing out with them being my 1st offer. They will always be in the run of the schools I'm going to choose from. Right now I'm just taking my time with the recruiting process and just enjoying the rest of high school, having fun and going into the rest of my senior season ready to play."
