West OL open to programs

Never be afraid to try something new. That's exactly what this o-line prospect is preparing to do for his upcoming senior season and he recently camped at Texas State. BI has the latest.

Seth Blendermann of Magnolia West High School measured in at 6'4.5" and 280lbs last weekend when camping in San Marcos. That's ideal height for an interior o-lineman and could be big enough to stay on the outside depending on the level of competition.

For the first 3 years of his high school playing days, that's exactly where Blendermann has lined up, tackle. It was at the camp when Texas State Coaches let him know that they really like him at the Center spot. It was music to his ears as Blendermann has already been told by his HS Coaches that he'll be lining up at center come the fall.

"The transition is going great, not easy, but not hard. I'm doing what I have to, to learn the new position," Blendermann said.

He currently has offers from Arkansas State and Lamar. Texas State and Houston are two other programs that have shown increased interest as of late.

The staff did not offer but the Bobcats did make an impression. Blendermann says he's open to every school, but that Arkansas State has been showing the most interest.

Last year for the Mustangs he earned Honorable Mention All District 18-4A.
