At this point in the recruiting process, some prospects might be thinking about a decision. Not this Houston area DB and he's got options.

Darious Mouton is now up to nine offers: Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa State, UTSA, McNeese State, Southeast Louisiana and Texas State, are all vying for his commitment.

The Bobcats extended last month after seeing Mouton on tape.

"They showed my film to all the staff, they love my film and want to see more of me," said Mouton.

Programs showing interest but that haven't offered yet are Texas Tech, LSU, and Minnesota.

As the summer continues, Darious continues to work out and is focusing on improving his speed and strength. He's listed at 5'10" 170lbs. Earlier this spring he turned in a 40 time of 4.46 at an LSU Camp.

He hasn't taken any visits so far and all signs are pointing to him taking some officials during the fall. He hasn't ruled out taking in another camp or two either.

Mouton maintains that he's completely open in the recruiting process and has heard of the Bobcats, but Texas State is a newer program to him. Any program that could show him the immediate opportunity of contributing right away could hold an advantage for Mouton. That's one thing he's keeping an eye on when looking at schools.
