DE/OLB Makes 3rd Visit

This OLB/DE has had Texas State at or near the top of his list for quite some time. BI caught up with him to see how his third visit to San Marcos went.

Kerry Walker is a 6'3 220-pound force coming off the edge as a rush backer. Texas State has held Walkers interest for a while now and as he gets close to his own personal deadline for making a decision, the Bobcats are in very good standing.

"This was my third visit to Texas State and every time I come, the coaches make me feel like I'm at home. That's exactly what I want in a school," said Walker about his visit to San Marcos.

D-Tackles Coach, Kyle Tatum is Walker's recruiter, and says they talk about every other day via phone or Twitter. The coaching staff is obviously very high on Walker and is hopeful he will choose to wear maroon and gold.

"This visit was the first for my parents and they really loved the school and the academics first mentality the coaches have. They showed us the long list of players that have graduated with degrees and that even some are in the NFL. This made a really strong impression on both me and my parents," said Walker.

Walker will make a couple more visits before the end of the summer and said optimistically that he might have his decision made before the start of the season. Texas State is definitely in the top three schools and is getting serious consideration from he and his family. The other two programs that round out his favorites are UTSA and Northern Illinois.
